Spicy Italian Buffalo Sandwich
  • 1 Teaspoon Fennel Seed (per 1 lb of meat)
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder (per 1 lb of meat)
  • 1 Teaspoon Crushed Red Chiles (per 1 lb of meat)
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Oregano (per 1 lb of meat)
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Green Chiles (roasted, peeled & seeded) fresh or canned, choose your own heat
  • Italian type sauce (i.e. spaghetti)
  • Any style of Italian bread (preferably a 6 inch hogie style)
     Add Fennel Seed, Garlic Powder, Crushed Red Chiles, Oregano, and Salt & Pepper to ground buffalo & mix VERY well. Make patties ¼ to 1/3 lb to the shape of the bread. Grill or pan fry patties to no more than medium, melt a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty then put 1 whole or ½ half green chile on top of cheese. Put on warmed bun. Sauce can be put inside sandwich or in a small bowl for dipping. YUM!
